Unweighted GPA explained
The unweighted scale is simple: A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, D = 1.0 and F = 0, with plus and minus grades in between. Class difficulty doesn't change the points.
Many colleges recalculate applicants' GPAs on an unweighted scale to compare students from different schools fairly. Want credit for hard classes? Try the weighted GPA calculator, or read weighted vs. unweighted GPA.
